i bought a couple of cds on Thursday. Bought a cd by Brazil. I remember seeing them many years ago, and liking them. it was only a buck. And bought The Academy Is.. Almost Here or what ever. basically spent $7 on both cds. i plan on buying new Metallica next week. I really like the new singles.

Listened to a ton of MEgadeth this week, still have 3 more cds to go. But, you know what? Dave Mustaine/Marty Friedman came up with some classic metal guitar riffs. i was relearning "Symphony of Destruction", "Trust", and "Kill the King" just a bit ago.

Also learn some of Metallica's "The Day That Never Comes"

MetallicA, 5 out of the 6 new songs i've heard I like. "my apocalypse" sounds a bit to forced for my liking. The drumming of course is a big downfall for them. But the guitars/bass sound crisp and rejuvinated. It's not ground breaking, but its a big step forward from St. Anger in my humble opinion.

i've only heard "The Day that Never Comes" and "My Apocalypse", i like both. its definitely a step in the right direction. and i had no idea there was a Limited Edition one.. i'll probably just buy whichever is cheaper. is it supposed to be sale priced and all that on Friday?

there is the regular edition at best buy for 10...the special edition there is 30 and comes with a disc to give you eleven bonus download songs for GH3...Then there is the limited edition coffin boxset which is only availible through metallica.com and missionmetallica.com for 135

so i definitly be buying the 10 dollar version haha.

the entire Metallica album leaked early last week. it's absolutely better than St. Anger. i'm not a big fan of any of the lyrics. i think that Metallica has been weak lyrically for years.

I fought long and hard about downloading it...cause I really wanted to hear "unforgiven III" cause its just one of those things...But decided not to..that was until I saw the price of the limited edition coffin boxset..and then felt the need to stick it to them....even though its not really sticking it to them, cause ill still be at best buy at 10 am on friday to buy the new album...I saw new album cause "death magnetic" is a dumb title..no matter how you slice it.

my fiance is a gigantic metallica nerd, and has already preordered the LE coffin boxset and the vinyl and the assless chaps...lol. that said, he downloaded the album as soon as he found out it had leaked.

i agree, the new title is stupid as hell.
